A vibrantly-hued, stunningly silky, enchantingly illuminating complex. Everything but the kitchen sink for anti-inflammatory oils and herbs. From my days working with Dr. Hauschka we talked about “like cures like”, but we also talked colour, It seems as if nature agrees with blue-is-cool, red-is-hot on the color spectrum. This is where I started using Tamanu, German Chamomile and Blue Tansy. Some species of Thyme and Oregano with irritant phenolic compounds are often reddish in color, while chamazulene-rich Blue Tansy, Blue Yarrow and Blue Chamomile can bring cooling relief to irritated or overheated skin. Chamazulene, matricin and α-bisabolol (sesquiterpene alcohol) are considered to be the primary active constituents in Blue Chamomile oil..
This oil blend is for anyone who wants to help reduce any inflammation in the skin. From hyper-pigmentation, acne and rosacea. It also works as a treatment serum, moisturizer, Gua Sha massage oil, and it strengthens the skin’s response to the sun. Because of my love for Lymph I’ve added herbs in our base oils that have an affinity for the lymph!
PLANT HEROES
Chamomile - The terpenoid chamazulene in the German Chamomile gives it the blue colour. We use it in two ways to ultimately provide cooling soothing relief for reactive, red, inflamed, or acneic skin. It is a true skin game-changer ingredient, and is as powerful and strong as it is delicate and gentle. It is present as German Chamomile Essential Oil, as well as an Oil infusion from our hand-harvested whole flowers harvested from my back yard and off of Robertson Farm here in the valley.
Pomegranate - one of my most loved oils. Rich and thick by nature, but penetrates deeply and is incredibly healing to skin barriers that have been damaged over time by inflammation.
Tamanu – this oil is a deep cool green, and is an ancient plant from the tropics. It is anti-inflammatory, wound healing, antibacterial, stimulates skin immunity, and has a unique phytonutrient profile specific to skin healing.

RITUAL
Shake out 3-5 drops of Face Serum in your hands and press lightly into your dampened face, neck, eyes and lips. Apply AM and PM to help dull lifeless skin or anyone who is experiencing symptoms such as acne, rosacea and hyper-pigmentation. Evening application may not be needed in our warmer seasons.
PRO TIP:
For an added boost of protection, you can mix the Serum with Face Balm, or use our Face Balm over the top of the Serum. This pairs well with our Heal All Face Balm.
Moisturize in perfect harmony when you use our Face Serum immediately after any of our Hydrosol Toners. You’ll be creating a lotion without the need for emollients as oil and water don’t blend well together. This way you create it yourself by layering, and you get to skip the toxic ingredients. Your skin wants water just as much as it needs oil, and this becomes the perfect light weight blend of hydration and moisturization , that brings out the beauty in every skin type.
